The challenge is how to design systems that are intuitive and will save staff real time while ensuring that no child’s name, date of birth or support plan finds its way into a general purpose AI tool.

Learning observations, behaviour records and EHCP evidence sat in separate places. Building a picture of one child meant going looking for it.

An ambitious three to five year growth plan, and a genuine worry that the systems and processes underneath it would not stand up to it.

Guidance, checks, fault reports and policy sign off were spread across shared drives, spreadsheets, email and paper. The small things had become hard.
